Configuring IBM webMethods Managed File Transfer Account Settings

Configure account settings for landing page, language, page size, page depth, date format, time format, and time zone in IBM webMethods Managed File Transfer using the following two options:

Only the following users can modify the default settings:
  • Administrator user.
  • User who is part of the MFTAdministrators group in IBM webMethods Integration.
  • User with MFT Administrators role in IBM webMethods Managed File Transfer.

To configure account settings

  1. In IBM webMethods Managed File Transfer, click    on the top-right corner, and click Account settings.

  2. Configure or modify the following application settings under My settings and Default settings, respectively:

    Field Description
    Landing page Select a page from the list to set this as the landing page when you log on to IBM webMethods Managed File Transfer.
    Page size Select a value from the list. The number of entries on each page appears based on the value you select.
    Language Select your preferred language from the list.
    Virtual folder The virtual folder configuration applies only to the administrator.
    Page size Type the number of folders for display in the Virtual folders page.
    Page depth To set the depth level for counting folders, enter a number in the Page Depth field. Use ‘1’ for the root folder, and ‘2’, ‘3’, and so on for subfolder depth levels.

    When the Number of folders to display setting is set to 100 and the Count folder depth up to setting is set to 3, the folder frame on each page is displayed up to 100 folders at a maximum depth of 3 levels. Folders with depths beyond level 3 is not be displayed and is not be considered for pagination.
    Date and time format IBM webMethods Managed File Transfer honors the user date and time format configuration done in IBM webMethods iPaaS. However, these settings can be overwritten in IBM webMethods Managed File Transfer user account settings. This setting is applicable to all IBM webMethods Managed File Transfer logs and scheduled actions.
    Time zone format This setting is applicable to all IBM webMethods Managed File Transfer logs and scheduled actions.
  3. Click Save.

The configured settings are updated under My settings or Default settings respectively.

Important
  • The configurations under My settings takes precedence over the same setting in the Default Settings section.
  • The Default settings are displayed by default to the monitoring users.
  • In Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox, language settings on the web browser dictates the preferred language on the login page and language settings on the computer dictates the preferred language in the IBM webMethods Managed File Transfer after you log in.
  • In Microsoft Edge, the language settings on your computer dictate both the preferred language on the login page and the preferred language IBM webMethods Managed File Transfer after you log in.
