Cloud Designtime and Cloud Runtime
Cloud Designtime and Cloud Runtime are the default runtimes available in your tenant and all users can access them.
Cloud Designtime: Used for development and version control as well as debugging and testing integrations.
Cloud Runtime: Used for performing runtime activities such as running integrations. By default, the cloud runtime uses two instances to distribute incoming traffic across multiple instances, ensuring high availability and efficient resource utilization. This is available only in Production environments.
The behaviour of Cloud Designtime, Cloud Runtime, and Edge Runtime is the same. There is no difference on how you choose a runtime and run the deploy anywhere integrations. All users have access to the Cloud Runtime and Cloud Designtime, as these are the default runtimes.
For optimal results, it is advised to avoid design activities in the production environments, as the production environment is live and accessible to end users. Changes made in production or test environments cannot be rolled back to lower environments. Therefore, it is strongly recommended to implement any changes in development first, and then transfer them to test and production for testing.
Based on the environment you are logged in the runtimes are displayed.
From 11.0.8, all cloud runtimes selected in integrations are set to cloud designtime in non-production environments.
