You can start, stop, and restart your external Elasticsearch instance using the command line interface. Additionally, you can use scripts on Unix and Windows, and the Windows Start menu on Windows to manage the runtime status of your external Elasticsearch instance.
Note:
You must create a temporary directory temp in the Install_Dir and set the "-Djava.io.tmpdir=temp" in the Install_Dir/config/jvm options.
