Scheduling Database Archival
IBM webMethods Managed File Transfer now supports scheduling the archiving of the database which allows you to automate regular archival routines of your production database. Archiving the database regularly prevents data overload, streamlines database performance, and significantly reduces database degradation caused by large volumes of data.
Email notification for in-progress actions
Email notification for in-progress actions functionality facilitates your cloud administrator to receive email notifications whenever an in-progress action is interrupted.
When IBM webMethods Managed File Transfer or an associated cloud pod goes through an unexpected restart or planned maintenance, the in-progress scheduled actions or post-processing actions can sometimes get terminated without a graceful completion. This results in the execution status persisting in an In-progress state indefinitely. The administrator does not get notified of this failure, which can eventually cause business loss if left uncorrected.
Introduction of server variables tenant_name and pod_name
IBM webMethods Managed File Transfer now supports two additional server variables for use in actions. The tenant_name server variable returns the tenant name and the pod_name server variable returns the pod name.

Run a Post-Processing Action on File Rename
Post-processing actions configured for upload operation get executed for both upload and rename of a file. IBM webMethods Managed File Transfer now supports running a post-processing action only on file rename operation.

Rerun a Post-Processing Action
Post-processing actions can sometimes fail when you upload, download or delete a file in IBM webMethods Managed File Transfer. You can now rerun a failed post-processing action from IBM webMethods Managed File Transfer Action Log section.
Note: Rerun of a post-processing action is allowed only for the action executions within IBM webMethods Managed File Transfer v11.0 and above. Attempting to rerun a failed event that failed on v10.15.6 and lower results in an error.
Azure Active Directory
You can configure Integration Server based Common Directory Services (CDS) in IBM webMethods Managed File Transfer. Apart from CDS, IBM webMethods Managed File Transfer now also supports Azure Active Directory (AD) as an external directory service using Microsoft graph library.
Virus Scanning with Internet Content Adaptation Protocol (ICAP)
IBM webMethods Managed File Transfer now supports antivirus scanning of inbound files by using an open source antivirus scanner ClamAV, which supports Internet Content Adaptation Protocol (ICAP).
ClamAV virus signatures are updated every day by IBM. ClamAV is exposed to the ActiveTransfer Server using an ICAP Server.
Note: Virus scanning may have some impact on IBM webMethods Managed File Transfer performance, since all the files being transferred are scanned.
Password in Email Deprecation
When creating a new partner user or changing passwords for partner users by administrators, your password was previously sent in an unencrypted plain-text email. As a security best practice, IBM recommends that you use the Send reset password link option. Generate random password and Create new password options are deprecated and will be removed in the upcoming release.
