Understanding the GUI

Before you start with creating custom workflows, let’s first get you familiarized with the webMethods.io Integration GUI. webMethods.io Integration Homescreen is the first screen that you will see after logging in to your tenant. The homescreen is the best way to get an overview of your tenant and overall usage. Here are the main components that make up the webMethods.io Integration homescreen:

  • Projects
  • Monitor
  • Recipes
  • Notifications
  • App switcher
  • Tenant Settings
  • Documentation

Let’s look at these components in detail:


When you login to webMethods.io Integration, you are redirected to the Projects screen by default. All projects created under your tenant are listed on this screen.


Default: webMethods.io Integration provide you a Default project in which you can start creating workflows right away.

+ New Project:
Click on this button to create a new project.

For every project, a card displaying a few details of that project appears on the Projects screen. Let’s see what they are:

Icons associated with the connectors being used in the project workflows.

Project Name:
Name of the project. You can change this name by clicking on the vertical ellipsis icon given beside the project name and selecting the Edit option.

No. of Workflows:
Number of workflows created under the project.

You can also delete any project (except for Default project) by clicking on the vertical ellipsis icon and selecting the Delete option.

This section lets you track and monitor the overall workflow execution status, consumed credits, and user activities for your tenant. The Monitor screen has four tabs from where you can perform these operations:


1. Dashboard

The dashboard tab lets you view the credits and workflow execution related data in graphical format. From this tab you can:

  • View the total credit consumption for the current month out of the allocated credits
  • View total workflow executions for the current month
  • View the workflow execution log for each workflow

2. Audit Logs

The Audit Logs tab lets you view the records of all activities performed by the tenant users. It keeps track of the tasks and changes performed by the users of your tenant. It maintains a history of all the actions that are performed within the tenant, including details such as the type of action performed, user performing the action, and date/time.

3. Activity Logs

The Activity Logs tab lets you view the sequence of all the activities related to the workflows of your account. The log records include details such as the timestamp, title, execution status as well as an option to view detailed log.

4. Alert Rules

The Alert Rules tab lets you define the rules for sending alert emails to specific users when specific event(s) occur during workflow execution.

You can import workflow from and export workflows to webMethods.io Integration using the Recipes section.

Clicking the notification icon will display the list of recent notifications related to your tenant workflows. New notifications are indicated by a red dot on the top of the notification icon.


App switcher

The App Switcher icon lets you switch between webMethods.io Integration platform and My Cloud with a single click.


Tenant Settings

You can view the tenant settings by clicking on the profile icon located at the top-right corner of the homescreen. From here, you can:

  • View tenant details, create new tenant roles, add users to tenant, and assign them roles
  • Get the latest updates about webMethods.io Integration
  • View credit consumption and workflow execution statistics
  • Sign out of your tenant
