Shutting Down Microservices Runtime on Windows
When you shut down Microservices Runtime from the Windows start menu, Microservices Runtime waits for currently executing services to complete before shutting down. By default, Microservices Runtime waits 300 seconds. If the wait time elapses before all services shut down, Microservices Runtime interrupts running services, terminates active sessions, and shuts down.
You can change the time Microservices Runtime waits for services to complete before shutting down by setting a value for the SAG_IS_SHUTDOWN_WAIT_TIME environment variable.
Note:
If you are running a Windows operating system with the User Account Control security feature enabled, you must shut down Microservices Runtime with full Administrator privileges. To shut down Microservices Runtime with full Administrator privileges, navigate to the list of programs or applications for IBM. For example, navigate to All Programs > IBM. Right-click Stop Microservices Runtime, and select the Run as Administrator option. If you are not logged into the operating system with Administrator privileges, you will be prompted to supply Administrator credentials.
