About Restricted Services
Restricted services are specific services in Wm* packages that cannot be invoked from a custom package, as the direct invocation of these services may cause potential system vulnerabilities. The restricted services are identified based on mutually agreed security criteria and documented in the restrictedServices.cnf configuration file. By default, Integration Server blocks restricted services from execution when invoked from a custom package.
If any restricted services are required for a custom package, you can list them in a comma-separated format within the configuration variable template to allow such services. For more information, see Configuration Variables Template AssetsConfiguration Variables Template Assets in .
Note:
Restricted services are not the same as the blacklisted services. Integration Server blocks the invocation of blacklisted services whether it is invoked as a top-level service, from another service, or using Service.doInvoke( ). The watt.server.service.blacklist server configuration parameter controls the services in the service blacklist. For more information on blacklisted services, see Adding Services to a Blacklist.
