Scaling down external Elasticsearch
To scale down external Elasticsearch1. Remove a external Elasticsearch node from the cluster by stopping the external Elasticsearch.
2. If you are removing master node, ensure that the node is not specified in the cluster.initial_master_nodes property. Else, the cluster formation becomes impossible.
The external Elasticsearch is scaled down.
