Release 10.12 Preview

The webMethods.io Embed v10.12 highlights are a high-level preview of the enhancements and updates for the upcoming v10.12 release and are subject to changes when the release becomes generally available.

Highlights

New features and enhancements Description
Introducing FlowServices You can now use FlowServices when you want to create complex integrations that require advanced data transformation and custom logic implementation.
Webhook authentication You can now add an extra layer of security to your webhooks by enabling the webhook authentication. Currently, there are two options:
  • None: No authentication is applied
  • Webhook Key: Generate a secret webhook key and send it in headers while sending the webhook execution request.
Added validity to JWT token You can now specify the duration for which your JWT token should stay active through the Developer Tools screen in the webMethods.io Embed admin portal.
Added new set of public APIs for Solutions Using the new set of public APIs for solutions, you can create, update, list, publish, unpublish, delete, and deploy specific solutions.
White Labeling You can now customize the appearance of your webMethods.io Embed tenant based on your organization branding using the white labeling feature.
Consume custom connectors inside webMethods.io Embed You can now consume custom CLI connectors that are created within the same tenant.
Enhancement in role management You can now specify which menu options (Projects, Monitor, Alerts etc.) should become visible under a specific role. All the users that are assigned a particular role, inherit the permissions granted to the role.

Release 10.11

Highlights

New features and enhancements Description
Show/hide Sandbox and Production environment Users can now show/hide their Sandbox and Production environments from their webMethods.io Embed tenant. To enable this feature, please get in touch with our support team.
Deploy solutions from one tenant to another Users can now deploy solutions from one tenant to another.
Enhancements to Monitor screen We have made following changes in the Monitor screen:
  • Removed Dashboard, Workflow Executions, and FlowService Executions options from the Execution Results menu.
  • Renamed Activity Logs option to Executions and added it under Execution Results menu.
Create and manage user roles You can now create custom roles and assign them to your tenant users to establish project-level access control. The set of permissions granted to each role are automatically assigned to the associated users.
Receive daily usage statistics emails for your tenant You can now create alerts for daily usage statistics and receive the notification emails.
Execute custom CloudStream actions In the previous release, you could only execute default connector actions. From this release, you can execute custom cloudstream actions in your tenant.
Allow group of users to access each other’s workflows in embedded application In previous release, users could only access their own worklflows in the embedded application. From this release, the authorized group of users can access each other’s workflows in the embedded application.
Intercom removed from the UI In earlier releases, you could use the Intercom available on the user interface for support. In this release, the Intercom is removed. For support, go to the Help menu and click Support.
Enabled Session Timeout, Idle Timeout, and Popup Auth field by default for all tenants In previous releases, the Session Timeout, Idle Timeout, and Popup Auth fields were enabled by default for the Bot-enabled tenants only. In this release, we have enabled these fields for all tenants by default.
Mandatory fields are marked with Astrisk(*) All the mandatory fields in the Bots configuration form are now marked with asterisk (*).
SDK initialization and user login through API request We have updated the Embed SDK to allow the users to initialize the Embed SDK and login by sending an API request.
Change tenant timezone from SAG Cloud In previous release, users’ system timezone was considered as user’s Embed tenant timezone. From this release, users can set custom timezone for their Embed tenant from the Software AG Cloud.

Project parameters are not getting deleted if they are used through Embed tenant on the Embed Demo site.

Release 2.0

Highlights

New features and enhancements Description
Project tags You can now add tags to projects and then use those tags to filter out specific projects.

Solution tags The You can now add tags to solutions and then use those tags to filter out specific solutions.

Multitenancy You can now enable Multitenancy feature for your tenant. This feature enables you to manage multiple subtenants through a single master tenant and specify their respective tenant transactions and connector availability.

Public APIs usage webMethods.io Embed now provides public APIs to perform specific operations on your tenant. You can monitor the usage statistics of these public APIs through the Public APIs Usage tab under the Settings menu.

Highlights

New features and enhancements Description
BOTS tab The BOTS tab has been added under Settings menu. This tab allows you to create one-way and two-way (interactive) bots, add solutions to them, and manage them.
Note: Execution support for two-way (interactive) bots is not available yet.

Create commands You can now add solutions as commands for your webhook-enabled projects. These commands can then be associated with two-way (interactive) bots and deployed to your application.

Convert existing solutions to commands You can now convert your existing webhook solutions to commands and add them to two-way (interactive) bots.

Set session time outs You can now set idle session timeout and absolute session time out for your application.

Delete user instances You can now delete instance associated with a specific user through the USERS tab under Settings menu.

Allow OAuth pop-up You can now enable OAuth pop-up which will allow you to carry out OAuth creation process through a pop-up window.

Updated conditions for deleting solutions You cannot delete a solution from Sandbox environment if:
  • It is already deployed on Production environment
  • It is already added to one or more bots

New features and enhancements Description
Alerts You can now enable alert notifications to send credit consumption and overage notifications to specific users of your webMethods.io Embed tenant.
Filter-based execution details You can now set up custom filters to fetch execution data associated with specific solutions, plans, and users.
Force-delete solution versions You can now force-delete solution versions (and any deployments associated with it) from your webMethods.io Embed Admin portal.
User management You can now add new users, modify their previously assigned plan type (individual/group), delete users (along with any associated workflows, triggers, authorizations, and so on), and export their deployments to your local machine through the webMethods.io Embed Admin portal.
Execution metrics and logs You can now view the execution metrics, execution logs, and execution history in the demo site as well. Earlier, these were only accessible through the webMethods.io Embed Admin portal.
New Connectors Added support for the following CloudStreams connectors:
  • Cumulocity
  • Google PubSub
  • Amazon SNS
  • SAP C4C
