Note: To retrieve or access the API key and Domain Name for Freshdesk, ensure that you are an admin or account owner of the Freshdesk account.

How to retrieve the API key for Freshdesk
Step 1 - Login to your Freshdesk account
Click on the Profile Picture icon given on the top-right hand side of the window and select the Profile Settings option.
Step 2 - Retrieve the API key
On the right side of the Profile Settings window, you will find the API key for Freshdesk. You can optionally reset the API key to create a fresh API key.
Copy this key and paste it in the API Key field of the Connect to Freshdesk window on WebMethods.io Integration.
How to retrieve the domain name for Freshdesk
To retrieve domain name for Freshdesk, follow the instructions given below:
- Login to your FreshDesk account
- Check the URL of the webpage as shown in the image below.
- Your domain is the series of alphanumeric characters before .freshdesk.com. For example, if your account URL is ‘softwareag.freshdesk.com/a/dashboard/sample’, the domain name is softwareag.
Copy the domain name from the URL and paste it in the Domain Name field of the Connect to Freshdesk window on WebMethods.io Integration.
After entering both the values in their respective fields, click on the Add button. An account will automatically be created and added under Connect to Freshdesk field. You can then use this account in all Freshdesk actions or triggers.
