Adding a Partner User
Only authorized users of a partner can send documents to webMethods.io B2B. Therefore, to send a document, a partner profile must have at least one user with valid credentials associated with it. An authorized user of a partner is therefore referred to as a partner user.
Note: Ensure that the partner user (the username) you create in webMethods.io B2B does not match with any of the tenant’s usernames existing in your My Cloud account. You may notice an access denied error if you create a tenant’s username same as an existing partner user.
To add a user
In webMethods.io B2B, go to Partners > Partner users.
On the Partner users page, click Add Partner User.
In the Add new partner user dialog box, specify the following details:
Field Description Username Type a unique username associated with the partner to authorize document exchange in webMethods.io B2B. Full name Type the complete name of the partner user. Password Type the password configured for the partner user. The password policy mandates you to create a password that is at least eight characters long. It must be a combination of alphanumeric characters with at least one uppercase and one lowercase character and must have at least one special character.
Ensure that the new password you are about to use is not the same as the username or the current password
Confirm password Retype the password for the partner user.
After you create a user, you can edit and reset the password for the partner user. The following details are displayed on the Partner users page.
Field Description Username Username associated with the partner user. Full name Full name of the partner user. Status Status of the partner user.
Actions The possible actions are:
- Edit. Edit the partner user details.
- Delete. Delete a partner user.
- Reset Password. Reset the password for a partner user. You can also reset the password for an existing partner user by adhering to the password policy.
